Terry Rifkin, M.D., FACOG
The founding partner of Great Neck Obstetrics and Gynecology, P.C., Dr. Terry Rifkin is a Board Certified Attending Physician and Clinical Instructor at North Shore University Hospital, practicing full time Obstetrics and Gynecology at 900 Northern Blvd in Great Neck, New York. He is also on the Board of Trustees of the North Shore-LIJ Health System. Dr. Rifkin graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1981, and then completed a four year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital in 1985, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He is presently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the NYU School of Medicine.
Dr. Rifkin started Great Neck Obstetrics and Gynecology, P.C. in 1985, and with the addition of his outstanding partners, has built the practice into the most successful private practice on the North Shore of Long Island. Great Neck Ob/Gyn offers women comprehensive healthcare, providing compassionate Obstetric and Gynecology services, as well as Ultrasound, Amniocentesis, Sonohysterography, BRCA Testing, Bone Density, Urodynamics, Colposcopy, and Halo Breast Cancer Screening, all on site in our warm and modern facility.
Dr. Rifkin and his partners were pioneers in bringing advanced operative laparoscopy and hysteroscopy into North Shore University Hospital, performing the first Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy in North Shore in 1990. Dr. Rifkin has also been in the forefront of alternatives to hysterectomy, and most times is able to conserve pelvic anatomy with operative hysteroscopic procedures, as well as Endometrial Ablation.
Great Neck OB/GYN is proud to serve the women of Nassau, Queens, and Suffolk (and often even further) with state of the art care, and devotion to our patients. Our staff of three Obstetrician Gynecologists, a full time Radiologist, Physician Assistants and RN's are available 24/7 to answer every question, and respond to all of our patient's needs.
Anita Sadaty, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Anita Sadaty is a full-time, Board Certified, attending physician practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. She attended medical school at Cornell University graduating with honors as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha in l994 and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as chief resident year at North Shore University Hospital in 1998.
Prior to completing residency, Dr. Sadaty spent two years in research at the Rockefeller University Department of Biochemistry and at Cornell University Medical College Department of Surgical Research. She is co-author on a research publication on diabetic wound healing published in the Journal of Surgical Research, 1991. In 1998, she presented a clinical research study completed during her residency training at the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology annual conference regarding the relative effectiveness of various labor induction agents.
She joined Great Neck Obstetrics and Gynecology in l998, a group specializing in all aspects of women's health care, offering a comprehensive range of gynecologic, obstetrical, radiologic and aesthetic services to suit women's growing health care needs. Although the practice provides a wide array of traditional medical services, Dr. Sadaty has developed an interest in alternative medical practices to address the needs of an emerging patient population that prefers a more integrated approach to medical care.
Glenn Kaufman, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Glenn Kaufman is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital and the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine
Dr. Kaufman received his undergraduate degree from Colgate University in 1977. He spent one year of research at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York. He attended medical school at the University of Health Sciences, Chicago Medical School where he graduated with honors as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha in 1982.
He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital where he served as Chief Resident in 1986. Dr. Kaufman has been in private practice in the Great Neck/Manhasset community over twenty-five years.
He has co-authored several research publications and has been featured on WCBS-TV and Channel 12 News. He is actively involved in the training of medical students and resident physicians at the North Shore/ Long Island Jewish Health System. He was one of the original physicians involved with introducing advanced Gynecological Laparoscopic surgical procedures to North Shore University Hospital.
He has special interests in operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopic surgery, treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding and chronic pelvic pain. He also focuses on treatment of recurrent miscarriage, infertility and high risk obstetrics.
Dr. Kaufman and the staff at Great Neck Obstetrics and Gynecology pride themselves on providing personal, comprehensive and compassionate care to all of their patients.
Michelle Santoyo, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Michelle Santoyo is a full-time, Board Certified attending physician practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. She attended medical school at Albert Einstein School of Medicine, graduating in 2007. She completed her residency training and chief residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital in 2011.
Dr. Santoyo was honored to represent the junior fellow division of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She served as ACOG district chair for the region during her 2nd and 3rd years of residency.
In 2011, she presented a clinical research study at the Cohen Lectureship, entitled: “Does obesity increase the rate of cesarean delivery?” The study was completed during her senior year of residency and was presented along with other research papers by the graduating chief residents from NSUH-LIJ departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
She joined Great Neck Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2011, a group specializing in all aspects of women's health care, offering a comprehensive range of gynecologic, obstetrical, radiologic and aesthetic services to suit women's growing health care needs.
During her residency she obtained specialized training in advanced minimally invasive surgeries such as laparoscopic hysterectomy, myomectomy, single incision surgery and operative hysteroscopic procedures. She enjoys working with adolescent and pediatric populations, emphasizing various preventative health care strategies in a comfortable and secure setting. Dr. Santoyo is a very caring and supportive physician. She has developed superior surgical skills and obstetrical expertise, delivering professional and compassionate care to her patients.
Beth Gross, M.D.
Dr. Beth Gross is a distinguished, board-certified radiologist who is the Director of Ultrasound at Great Neck Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Gross and her staff specialize in female pelvic ultrasound as well as high-risk obstetrical ultrasound. She graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University in 1980, and later completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY.
She then went on to complete a fellowship in CT scanning, Ultrasound and MRI at North Shore University Hospital/Cornell Univerity Medical College. She further solidified her training and expertise in pelvic and obstetrical ultrasound while serving as an Attending Radiologist in the Division of Ultrasound at North Shore University Hospital and in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine, Antepartum Testing Unit in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital for nearly a decade.
Dr. Gross serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is an examiner for practice ultrasound accreditation for the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. She is currently an active member of several prominent medical societies in her field of expertise, including the Radiological Society of North America, New York Roentgen Society, the American College of Radiology, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the Long Island Radiological Society.
She is the author and co-author of over 20 academic publications and co-author of a chapter in An Atlas of Ultrasound Color Flow Imaging. She has served as a presenter at many professional meetings for the presitigious American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and has been invited to lecture at many academic institutions. She brings an unsurpassed level of excellence to our clinical practice and provides patient care only at Great Neck Obstetrics and Gynecology. Although she provides unparalleled academic excellence to our clinical practice she provides the individual attention and warmth to each and every patient that is missing in an impersonal hospital setting or academic center.
Robin Reingold, M.D.
Dr. Robin Reingold is a board certified physician practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology at Great Neck OB/GYN in Manhasset, New York. She attended medical school at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as her chief resident year at North Shore University Hospital in 2000.
Prior to medical school Dr Reingold spent time as a research assistant in the Department of Immunology at The Mount Sinai School of medicine. She continued to do research while in medical school at the Weizmann Institute of science in Rehovot, Israel. She was awarded the David Kliger fellowship in Biomedical Ethics and studied at the Hartman Institute in Jerusalem.
During her residency training she completed a research study of the risk of antepartum complications in spontaneous versus IVF twins which she presented at the New York Obstetrical Society in New York.
After completing her residency at North Shore University Hospital, Dr. Reingold spent five years in faculty practice at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. While serving as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology there, she maintained a busy office practice and was involved in resident and medical student education.
She returned to North Shore in October 2009 to join Great Neck Obstetrics and Gynecology a group specializing in all aspects of women's health care.
Cristina Pichardo, RPA-C
Cristina Pichardo, is a NYS registered, board certified physician assistant currently practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology at Great Neck Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her Physican Assistant degree in 2008 from Hofstra University, NY. She is an active member of the American Society of Physician Assistants, New York State Chapter of Physician Assistants and the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is fluent in the Spanish language.
Prior to joining Great Neck OB/GYN, she practiced family medicine at Health 1 Medical, NY, where she specialized in women's health care services as well as offering general primary care medicine. As a result of this specialized interest, she decided to pursue a career that focused particularly in women's health care.
Cristina provides comprehensive gynecological services, well-woman exams, and a variety of in-office procedures. She is particularly interested in preventive health care and adolescent medicine and is committed to providing quality care for women in all health care aspects. She is trained in both general internal medicine and obstetrics & gynecology to offer a complete and comprehensive evaluation.
Heidi Talansky is a board certified Physician Assistant practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology at Great Neck OB/GYN. She received her Physician Assistant degree in 2004 from the Touro College School of Health Sciences in Bay Shore, New York and has been with Great Neck OB/GYN on a part time basis since 2007.
As part of the clinical component of her PA degree, Heidi completed a rotation at Great Neck OB/GYN, both in an office and hospital setting, where she was impressed with the level of personal attention and quality of medical care provided by the staff.
Heidi's practice includes teenage and adolescent GYN treatment, hormone replacement therapy, as well as the broad range of women's health care issues in which Great Neck OB/GYN has expertise. Heidi prides herself on providing a personal and compassionate level of care to all her patients.
